New Delhi: Following complaints from students regarding the CUET-UG entrance exam for undergraduate admissions, there are reports suggesting that the National Testing Agency (NTA) may conduct a re-examination if warranted.

The CUET-UG entrance exam, which took place in May, is an important exam for admissions into undergraduate courses across 261 central, state, deemed-to-be universities and private universities nationwide, with 1.34 million students taking up the exam.

Exams were conducted both offline and online, with some students expressing concerns about inadequate time at certain exam centers.

This issue echoes past controversies surrounding exams like the NEET for medical courses, where allegations of malpractice have surfaced, sparking nation wide debate.

Despite the exam being conducted in May, delays in releasing CUET-UG results have fueled controversy, compounded by complaints about insufficient exam duration.

The release 'Answer Key' for CUET-UG has raised expectations for imminent result announcements. The NTA has set a deadline until the evening of the 9th for students to lodge complaints, which will be reviewed by experts alongside existing grievances.

Reports indicate that if substantiated, re-examinations may be scheduled for affected students between the 15th and 19th of the month, with subsequent release of CUET-UG results anticipated thereafter.
