Chennai: The CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre (CSIR-SERC), Chennai, signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) for academic and research collaboration with the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli (NIT-T), and Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering (SSNCE) on Tuesday.

The MoUs were exchanged at CSIR-SERC in the presence of Dr. N. Anandavalli, Director, CSIR-SERC; Dr. G. Aghila, Director, NIT-T; and Dr. S. Radha, Principal, SSNCE. Senior faculty and scientists from the institutions, including Dr. S. T. Ramesh (Dean, Academic, NIT-T), Dr. V. Sankaranarayanan (Dean, Research and Consultancy, NIT-T), Dr. N. Sivakumar (Professor and Head, Civil Engineering, SSNCE), Prof. K. Ramanjeneyalu (SSNCE), Dr. K. Sathish Kumar (Chief Scientist and Head, BKMD, CSIR-SERC), Dr. A. Kanchana Devi (Principal Scientist and Coordinator for SSNCE), and Dr. B. Arun Sundaram (Senior Principal Scientist and Coordinator for NIT-T), participated in the event.

The collaboration aims to strengthen academic exchange, promote joint research, and facilitate knowledge transfer in the field of structural engineering and allied disciplines. Both NIT-T and SSNCE expressed their keen interest in developing a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership with CSIR-SERC to advance research, innovation, and capacity building.
