Chennai: The Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) has announced a one-time special supplementary examination for former students who were unable to clear all required papers to obtain their degrees.

The initiative covers students from the first batch (2009-2010) up to the outgoing batch of 2022-2023. The move comes in response to repeated requests from former students who could not complete their academic requirements due to personal or academic challenges.

“This decision is in line with the National Education Policy (NEP), which promotes flexibility and student-centric reforms in higher education,” said Prof. Sulochana Shekhar, Controller of Examinations. “It is being implemented under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Prof. M. Krishnan to ensure inclusive academic support,” she added.

Eligible candidates can register online at exam.cutn.ac.in by July 7, 2025. The fee structure is ₹1,600 per theory paper, ₹1,375 per practical, and ₹200 for grade card issuance.
