During the event, three Letters of Intent (LoI) were exchanged between Meta and NIESBUD, AICTE, and CBSE. Minister of State for Education, Smt. Annpurna Devi, and Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, were also present.Speaking at the event, Dharmendra Pradhan emphasized that this initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of making India a global skill capital and empowering the youth. The "Education to Entrepreneurship" partnership aims to bring digital skilling to the grassroots level, enhancing the capabilities of the workforce and enabling students, youth, and micro-entrepreneurs to leverage advanced technologies. Pradhan emphasized the need to bridge India's democracy, demography, and diversity with technology to ensure it serves as an equalizer for society.Rajeev Chandrasekhar underscored the government's commitment to prepare the youth and workforce with the necessary skills to excel in the evolving technological landscape and the global economy. He noted that digital skills play a pivotal role in the innovation ecosystem, especially for small rural entrepreneurs.In a video message, Meta's President of Global Affairs, Nick Clegg, expressed gratitude to Dharmendra Pradhan for facilitating this partnership between education and skilling sectors. He highlighted India's vast talent pool and rapid digital adoption, making it an ideal place for investments in emerging technologies. Meta's focus will be on empowering students, young individuals, and entrepreneurs, with a particular emphasis on skill development for Indian startups and businesses.As a part of the partnership with NIESBUD, Meta will provide digital marketing skills to 5 lakh entrepreneurs over the next three years. Training in digital marketing skills, using Meta platforms, will be conducted in seven regional languages. The partnership aims to support India's entrepreneurial ecosystem and skill development.The event also featured three short films highlighting the details of these significant partnerships.
