Madurai: Experts emphasised the importance of choosing future-ready engineering courses and reputed institutions at the Dinamalar Engineering Counselling Guide programme, organised in Madurai and Sivakasi by Dinamalar in collaboration with the Chennai Institute of Technology.

The event, aimed at helping Class 12 students prepare for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2024, saw enthusiastic participation from students and parents.

The morning session held at S.F.R. Women's College in Sivakasi was inaugurated by college principal Sudha Periyathai, Chairman of Chennai Institute of Technology Sriram, Assistant Professor Kalidas from Srirangam Government Engineering College, and education counsellor Ashwin.

During the sessions, speakers highlighted emerging trends in engineering education, recommended high-demand streams, and offered tips on selecting colleges based on placement records, infrastructure, and faculty quality.

The programme will continue on Saturday (July 6) with two more sessions—at Annapparaja Mahal, Forest Road, Theni from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and at PVK Hotel, Thadikombu Road, Dindigul from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Students and parents have been urged to take part and benefit from expert guidance during the crucial counselling phase.
