New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will inaugurate the Aravalli Summit 2025 on October 6-7 at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), focusing on “India and the World Order: Preparing for 2047.”

The international conference is being hosted by JNU's School of International Studies (SIS) in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Chintan Research Foundation, marking SIS's 70th anniversary, Dean Prof. Amitabh Mattoo said.

An alumnus of SIS, Jaishankar will be joined by JNU Chancellor Ambassador Kanwal Sibal, Vice Chancellor Prof. Santishree Dhullipudi Pandit, Prof. Mattoo, and other dignitaries. A special edition of the International Studies journal and a 15-minute documentary on SIS's history and contributions will be unveiled during the summit.

Prof. Mattoo noted that the Aravalli Summit reflects the spirit of SIS, where scholarship meets policy, and highlighted the relevance of India's ancient wisdom in shaping contemporary foreign policy. The organisers also announced that the summit will now be held annually.
