Chennai: Candidates can seek clarification on the results of the Eighth Standard public examination for private candidates held in August by contacting the Directorate of Government Examinations up to September 25, officials said.

The results of the examination, conducted from August 17 to 21, were released on September 16 afternoon. A total of 3,094 candidates appeared for the examination.

Candidates can check their results on the official website of the Directorate of Government Examinations by clicking the “Result” icon, selecting “ESLC (Private Appearance) Examination August 2026” and then clicking “View Result.”

Candidates must enter their registration number and date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format to view the results.
