Chennai: IIT Madras has introduced a Web-Enabled M.Tech (Web M.Tech) program in Artificial Intelligence, designed for working professionals seeking to upskill while continuing their careers.

Applications are open until 31st May 2025, and classes will commence in August/September 2025.

The Web M.Tech program spans 11 disciplines, including the newly launched Artificial Intelligence specialization. This initiative builds on the earlier Web M.Tech in Industrial AI, expanding into a broader curriculum covering fundamental and advanced AI techniques with hands-on projects.

Prof. B. Ravindran, Head of the Wadhwani School of Data Science and AI, emphasized the flexibility of earning an IIT Madras M.Tech degree while balancing work commitments.

Eligibility requires a minimum of two years of work experience in a relevant field. Selection will be through an entrance test and/or interview.
