Chennai: Deep tech startup Tvasta Manufacturing Solutions has constructed India's first 3D-printed villa for Godrej Properties, marking a milestone in automated and sustainable home construction.

Utilizing advanced 3D printing technology, the villa demonstrates futuristic design possibilities, faster construction timelines, and enhanced sustainability. Tvasta repurposes industrial waste and incorporates an insulated wall design, reducing energy consumption and utility costs.

“This project highlights the immense potential of 3D printing in modern construction,” said Parivarthan Reddy, Co-Founder of Tvasta. “With innovative features and complex architectural elements, we're redefining homebuilding.” Tvasta aims to scale operations and collaborate further to commercialize 3D-printed homes.

Godrej Properties, known for its commitment to innovation, sees this collaboration as a step towards revolutionizing construction. The initiative sets a precedent for broader adoption of 3D printing in real estate.

Founded in 2016 by IIT Madras alumni, Tvasta has expanded internationally, supplying 3D printers to the U.S. and Middle East. The company is also developing multistorey buildings, luxury guesthouses, and infrastructure elements like bus shelters.

With its eco-friendly approach and ability to create unique, customizable designs, 3D printing is poised to transform India's construction landscape.
