IIT Madras students set to host 'Shaastra'

Chennai: IIT Madras students are geared up to host the 25th edition of Shaastra, India's largest annual techno-entertainment festival, from January 3rd to 7th, 2023. The event will feature 110 diverse competitions, including those focused on cutting-edge technologies like AI, ML, and cybersecurity, as well as robotics and more. Themed 'Spokes of Time' for its Silver Jubilee, Shaastra will showcase the evolution of technology. The festival anticipates a significant turnout of around 2,000 participants daily, with notable speakers such as Shri Ram Nath Kovind and events like Boeing's Aeromodelling Competition and Flipkart GRiD 5.0 Robotics Challenge. Additionally, Shaastra will launch the 'Forget-Me-Not' social campaign addressing dementia awareness. The lineup includes techno-entertainment nights with Sunburn Campus and Laser Show India. Key events encompass the Ethical Tech Summit, Encryptcon 2024 cybersecurity conference, and a distinguished lecture series featuring renowned personalities.
