Ahmedabad: Versuni India inaugurates a cutting-edge factory in Ahmedabad, signaling a commitment to growth and innovation. The event, attended by Global CEO Henk S. de Jong and India CEO Gulbahar Taurani, emphasizes Versuni's dedication to India as a high-growth market. The facility aims to create over 1,000 jobs in engineering, manufacturing, logistics, quality control, and administration over the next three years, contributing to local economic prosperity.The factory will focus on manufacturing flagship products like Philips Airfryers and Garment Steamers, adapting to changing Indian consumer preferences. With an initial annual capacity of 500,000 AirFryers and 200,000 Garment Steamers, the facility can scale up to one million pieces annually. The manufacturing adheres to global standards, including CE certification.Henk de Jong, CEO of Versuni, expresses the company's dedication to India's strategic growth market and aims to increase local production from 70% to 90% in the coming years. This move follows Versuni's recent entry into India's home security devices segment in 2023, aligning with its commitment to diversify product offerings based on market needs.Versuni, formerly known as Philips Domestic Appliances, operates globally with a portfolio covering various categories. The company, headquartered in Amsterdam, focuses on sustainability and innovation, holding over 900 patents.
