Palakkad: Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad hosted its 2026 conference, which saw participation from academicians and representatives of Indian and European universities.

Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad was represented by Sabarimalai Manikandan, Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, and Nibeditha Dey.

During the conference, IIT Palakkad presented its academic achievements, research initiatives and the potential contributions it could make to the network.

Seshadri Shekhar said the institute has officially decided to become a permanent member of the Heritage Network. He said the recognition would enable IIT Palakkad to undertake international collaborative research in scientific fields with leading academic institutions in Europe.
