Chennai: IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation has partnered with Maven Silicon to launch training programmes for working professionals in semiconductor technologies.

The initiative will offer two nine-month professional certification courses in VLSI Design and Verification, and Embedded Systems Design, delivered in online mode, according to a statement.

The programmes aim to enable professionals to upskill while continuing their jobs, combining structured learning with hands-on labs and capstone projects. Successful participants will receive joint certification from both organisations.

Officials said the collaboration aligns with national efforts to strengthen India's semiconductor ecosystem and build industry-ready talent.

The courses will cover advanced digital design, verification methodologies, processor architectures, and embedded systems, preparing participants for roles in chip design and related fields.

Highlighting industry demand, the statement noted that India's semiconductor market is projected to grow significantly by 2030, with rising need for skilled professionals.

Admissions for the inaugural batch will open shortly, it added.
