Chennai: Eleven distinguished writers were honoured by the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Arts and Literature Development Association at a felicitation ceremony held in Chennai.

Minister Mathiventhan presented certificates of appreciation and cheques worth ₹50,000 each—representing the first installment of incentives—to the selected writers at the event held at the office of the Adi Dravidar Welfare Commissioner.

Present on the occasion were Lakshmi Priya, Secretary of the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department; Anand, Commissioner of Adi Dravidar Welfare; and Annadurai, Director of the Tribal Welfare Department, among others.
