Innovation Needed in the School Curriculum

Although lifestyles have evolved with time, the school education system remains largely unchanged. Students still carry the same geometry box, pen, pencil and notebook, and the examination pattern continues in much the same way as before. Very little has transformed in the structure of classroom learning.
One of the biggest challenges today is keeping students attentive and engaged in lessons. Traditional teaching methods alone are no longer sufficient to capture their interest.
There is a need to redesign the curriculum to make learning more interactive and meaningful. Practical training, hands-on activities and social learning approaches can significantly enhance student engagement. When students are actively involved in the learning process, they are more likely to understand concepts deeply and retain knowledge effectively.
Educational reforms should therefore focus on aligning the curriculum with contemporary needs, ensuring that learning is not only informative but also engaging and relevant to real life.
