Chennai: The application process for the JEE Advanced has commenced, with the examination scheduled to be held on May 17.

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), conducted for admission to premier central institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Technology and National Institutes of Technology, is held in two stages — JEE Main and JEE Advanced.

Candidates who qualify in JEE Main become eligible for admission to NITs and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), while those clearing JEE Advanced are considered for admission to IITs.

The JEE Advanced 2026 examination for candidates who have cleared the Main stage will be conducted by IIT Roorkee.

Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official website https://jeeadv.nic.in on or before May 2, according to official sources.
