Admissions to MBBS and BDS courses in various medical and dental institutions across Tamil Nadu are conducted through a dedicated counseling process overseen by the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee under the Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Health and Family Welfare Department.

Eligibility:
Candidates must have studied Biology in Class 12 and must have qualified in the NEET examination.

Seats Offered:
Government Quota: Seats in all government medical and dental colleges, ESI Medical College (K.K. Nagar), private colleges, state private universities, and other recognized institutions.

Management Quota: Seats under the management quota in private and minority colleges affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, as well as administrative quota seats in state private universities.

Reservation Policy:
Includes 7.5% reservation for students from government schools, statutory caste-based reservation, special categories, minority reservation, and seats for Overseas Citizens of India.

Application Fee:
₹500 for government quota seats
₹1,000 for management quota seats
No application fee for SC, SCA, and ST candidates.
