Vapi (Guj): Medical device maker Meril on Saturday unveiled the Mizzo Endo 4000, an indigenously developed next-generation soft tissue surgical robotic system that integrates artificial intelligence and 5G-enabled telesurgery capabilities.

The company said the system, designed and manufactured in India, will enable complex procedures in specialties including general surgery, gynaecology, urology, thoracic, colorectal, bariatric, hepatobiliary, ENT, gastrointestinal and oncology.

Equipped with AI-powered 3D anatomical mapping, DICOM-based visualisation, and an open console design, the platform also supports remote surgery and training through ultra-fast connectivity, creating what Meril described as a “borderless surgical ecosystem.”

“With this launch, India is making a statement of intent in the field of MedTech,” said Vivek Shah, CEO of Meril. “The system is built to deliver safer, minimally invasive procedures with quicker recovery and better outcomes. We envision it transforming surgical care across India while positioning the country as a global hub for advanced robotic surgery.”

The system features advanced robotic arms with audio-visual feedback, a universal visit cart adaptable to multiple modalities, and tools for cross-border collaboration in surgery and training.

Meril, headquartered in Vapi, Gujarat, operates in over 150 countries with 45 subsidiaries and 12 global academies. The company said the launch of Mizzo Endo 4000 is in line with its mission of making world-class surgical robotics more accessible and scalable.
