New Delhi: The Mudra Institute of Communications (MICA), Ahmedabad, has launched The Social Media Influencer Programme, a first-of-its-kind structured course aimed at helping creators transform their passion into a sustainable career by understanding the business, strategy, and impact behind influence.
The 25-week programme combines academic insight with real-world practice to help content creators, entrepreneurs, marketers, and professionals build enduring personal brands.
According to Falguni Vasavada, Programme Director at MICA, the creator economy, now worth over USD 250 billion globally, is growing rapidly. “As more people enter content creation, competition is fierce and algorithms are unpredictable. Creativity alone isn't enough — structure, strategy, and business thinking are vital,” she said.
“This programme is built on the belief that influence isn't luck, it's strategy. While anyone can create content, few understand how to sustain influence, generate consistent income, and scale their digital brand strategically,” Vasavada added.
Learners will gain access to expert mentorship and practical exposure designed to shorten the trial-and-error journey most creators face.
The faculty includes Vasavada — a noted body positivity advocate and digital storyteller — and Siddharth Deshmukh, known as The Travelling Professor, a digital strategist and mentor who teaches purpose-driven content creation.
Viraj Sheth, Co-founder and CEO of Monk Entertainment, joins as industry expert, bringing insights from collaborations with brands and personalities such as Flipkart, Mumbai Indians, NBA India, Priyanka Chopra, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
