Nagaland University opens CUET-UG admissions for four-year BSc programme

Lumami (Nagaland): Nagaland University has invited applications for admission to its Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) in Bachelor of Science (BSc) for the 2026-27 academic session through CUET-UG 2026.
The admissions, conducted by the University's Multi-Disciplinary Research Centre (MDRC) under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 framework, are open for BSc Honours and Honours with Research programmes in Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Zoology.
Admissions will be based on candidates' CUET-UG scores and Class XII performance, subject to the eligibility criteria prescribed by the respective departments.
The online application process, which began on July 1, will remain open until July 15. The list of shortlisted candidates will be published on July 16, followed by admissions from July 17 to 20. Admissions from the waiting list will be held between July 21 and 23.

With the implementation of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme under NEP 2020, we are committed to providing a multidisciplinary, research-oriented and student-centric learning environment," Vice-Chancellor Prof Jagadish K. Patnaik said.
He said admissions through CUET-UG ensure a transparent and merit-based process while the programmes combine academic learning with research, innovation and skill development.
The university said admitted students will have access to laboratories, digital library resources, Wi-Fi-enabled campus facilities, e-learning support, sports infrastructure, career counselling and placement assistance.
Applications can be submitted through the university's online admission portal. Seats will be allotted in accordance with the university's reservation policy, including categories such as Scheduled Tribe (ST), Scheduled Caste (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Sports Quota, Employees' Quota and Unreserved category.
