Chennai: NIIT University (NU) has partnered with ServiceNow under the latter's University Academic Partnerships Program to integrate industry-recognised learning pathways into its engineering curriculum, with a focus on artificial intelligence, advanced computing and enterprise technologies.

The collaboration will enable students enrolled in B.Tech programmes, including Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and Cyber Security, to gain exposure to cloud platform development, digital transformation, enterprise workflows and emerging AI technologies.

As part of the partnership, the university will incorporate structured learning pathways leading to ServiceNow's Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD) certifications into its curriculum.

The collaboration also aims to strengthen learning in advanced computing and artificial intelligence by introducing students to Agentic AI, which focuses on AI agents capable of planning, reasoning and automating complex enterprise workflows.

NIIT University President Prof. Prakash Gopalan said the partnership reflects the institution's commitment to creating industry-linked learning experiences that prepare students for careers in emerging technology domains.

"By combining academic rigour with industry-recognised certifications and practical learning opportunities, we aim to equip our students with the skills and experiences needed to succeed in an increasingly digital and AI-driven world," he said.

ServiceNow India Technology and Business Center Senior Vice President and Managing Director Sumeet Mathur said India's young workforce has the potential to lead in an AI-driven economy if supported with a strong academic foundation and industry-relevant skills.

He said the partnership would provide students with hands-on experience on the ServiceNow AI platform while enabling them to earn globally recognised certifications that enhance career opportunities.

Established in 2009, NIIT University is a not-for-profit institution under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act and is located at Neemrana in Rajasthan. The university offers technology- and research-driven programmes with an emphasis on industry-linked education.

ServiceNow provides AI-powered enterprise workflow solutions that integrate cloud platforms, business applications and AI technologies to automate and streamline organisational processes.
