Trichy: The 32nd edition of NITTFEST, the interdepartmental cultural fest of the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy), commenced on Saturday with a grand inauguration.

Themed Desseptia: The Dunes of Deceit, the three-day event features competitions, guest lectures, and proshows.

The festival was inaugurated with a lamp-lighting ceremony in the presence of NIT Trichy Director G. Aghila, Dean of Student Welfare Dr. R Karvembu, and Faculty Advisors Dr. R Prince and Dr. Nagajyoti V. Film director Elan, known for Pyaar Prema Kadhal and Star, was the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he highlighted the role of cultural festivals in fostering creativity and collaboration among students.

Chairperson Pranav B and Overall Coordinator Aswin D G outlined the key events of the fest and extended their gratitude. The inaugural session was followed by an interactive session with the Chief Guest and the Professor's Got Talent competition.

NITTFEST, known for its spirited contests and cultural showcase, continues to draw enthusiastic participation from students.
