New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate a national-level conference on International Women's Day, March 8, 2025, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Organized by the Ministry of Women & Child Development (MWCD), the event will be themed “Nari Shakti Se Viksit Bharat” and will witness the participation of key dignitaries, including Women & Child Development Minister Annpurna Devi and Minister of State Savitri Thakur.

A high-level panel discussion will follow the inaugural session, featuring insights from women officers in the armed forces, paramilitary, Delhi Police, My Bharat volunteers, Anganwadi and ASHA workers, and Self-Help Groups. Representatives from international organizations such as the World Bank, UNICEF, and UN Women will also be present.

Three technical sessions will highlight women's leadership across STEM, business, sports, media, and governance. Discussions will cover financial inclusion, women's leadership from panchayat to parliament, and reflections on 50 years of International Women's Day.

A Digital Media & Interactive Zone will engage participants with real-time discussions, multimedia exhibits, and storytelling. The event will be livestreamed across Doordarshan, MWCD platforms, and World Bank Live.
