Hamirpur (UP): Authorities in Uttar Pradesh's Hamirpur district have discovered a government-run upper primary school being operated by a private tutor and the headmaster's driver in the absence of appointed teaching staff, triggering an inquiry.

Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) Alok Kumar Singh said the school, located in Kapasa village, had headmaster Veeru Singh and teacher Madhuri posted there.

On August 8, a parent informed Assistant BSA Sushil Kumar Kamal that both teachers were absent and classes were being conducted by a private instructor and Singh's driver, Ram Sahay. Kamal verified the complaint, finding Madhuri on approved leave and the headmaster absent without permission, while the driver was allegedly involved in teaching.

Singh said the headmaster was immediately suspended and attached to the Upper Primary School in Tikri Buzurg, Maudaha. Assistant BSA of Bharua Sumerpur, Prabhakar Tomar, has been tasked with investigating and submitting a report within a week.
