New Delhi: Registrations for the IndiaSkills Competition (ISC) 2025 opened on Monday, featuring 63 skills in which participants from all 36 states and Union Territories will compete to become national skill champions.

The biennial event aims to identify, nurture, and reward India's most talented youth and prepare them to represent the country at international platforms such as the WorldSkills Competition (WSC) 2026—the world's largest skills contest featuring over 60 skill categories.

Each participant can register for only one skill through the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) portal. The last date to apply is September 30, 2025.

Regional rounds for IndiaSkills 2025 will be held across five zones—North, South, East, West, and Northeast—culminating in a national-level competition organised by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

Winners of the national contest will receive extensive training and mentorship to represent India at WSC 2026 and other global events.

“The competition is open to all Indian nationals. The age eligibility requires participants to be born on or after January 1, 2004. For advanced technology skills such as Cyber Security, Mechatronics, and Aircraft Maintenance, candidates must be born on or after January 1, 2001,” an official statement said.

The competition will be conducted in two tracks:
Track I: State-level contests run by State Skill Development Missions.
Track II: Sector Skill Councils conduct contests for skills not covered by the states/UTs.

Both tracks will converge at regional competitions, followed by boot camps and the final national event. The competition includes both individual and team-based skills aligned with WorldSkills International categories.
