Chennai: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced that the Stenographer Grade 'C' and 'D' Examination 2024 will be conducted in computer-based mode.

A total of 51,250 candidates from the Southern Region have been admitted to the examination.

The exam is scheduled to take place across 20 venues in 15 cities, including Guntur, Kurnool, Ongole, Rajahmundry, Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, and Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh; Hyderabad and Warangal in Telangana; and Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Salem, Tiruchirappalli, and Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu.

The examination will be held over two days, from December 10 to December 11, 2024, with three shifts daily:

First Shift: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Second Shift: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
Third Shift: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
Candidates can download their e-admission certificates starting four days before their respective exam dates. Notifications regarding this have been sent via SMS and email to the contact details provided during online registration.

Prohibited Items:
Candidates are strictly prohibited from carrying items such as watches, books, paper chits, electronic gadgets, cameras, calculators, and storage devices into the examination hall. Violation of these rules could lead to the cancellation of candidature, legal proceedings, and a debarment period of three to seven years.

Mandatory Requirements:
Candidates must carry their e-admission certificates and valid original identity proof to gain entry into the exam hall.
