Chennai: Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi on Tuesday launched the Tamil Nadu Skill Register website, a digital platform aimed at connecting skilled youth with industry opportunities.

The initiative follows the Naan Muthalavan scheme, under which students receive free industry-related skill training through the website www.naanmudhalvan.tn.gov.in
. The newly launched Skill Register, managed by the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, allows companies to access details of trained youth in Tamil and English, including voice-based assessments, to recruit candidates according to their skills.

So far, the database has integrated information of over 13.7 lakh youth who have received skill certificates. “Tamil Nadu youth can update their personal details, showcase their skills, and explore job opportunities through this platform,” Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi said.

The launch event was attended by Special Project Implementation Secretary Pradeep Yadav, TN Skill Development Corporation Managing Director Krantikumar Padi, and other officials.

The platform aims to strengthen skill-based employment, bridging the gap between industry needs and trained workforce in the state.
