Chennai: The Tamil Nadu's Education Department released the results of the Class 12 board exams for the year 2024 today on May 6 with a total pass percentage of 94.56%.
The pass percentage of the boys was 92.37%.
96.44 was the pass percentage among the girls.
Among the districts, Tiruppur district stood first with a pass percentage of 97.45%.
With a pass percentage of 87.03%, Karaikkal stood last in table.
Students can check their marks online and through SMS.
In the Tamil Nadu school curriculum, the general examination for Plus 2 students started on March 1 and ended on March 22. The examination was conducted in 3,302 examination centers across the state. Of this, 7.72 lakh students belonging to 7,534 schools; 21,875 individual candidates were allowed to write the exam. Of them, 12,000 did not take the exam.
The correction of answer sheets for the public examination was carried out by more than 30,000 teachers and education officers in 83 centres.
The results of the Plus 2 public examination held in March this year is to be published at the Directorate of Government Examinations at 9:30 this morning.
Students can check their results by registering their roll number and date of birth at http://www.tnresults.nic.in/ and http://www.dge.tn.gov.in/.
National Informatics Centers in each District, District Collector's Office, all Central and Branch Offices can check the exam results free of charge.
The grading system goes like this: A1 for 90% or higher, A2 for 81-90%, D for 35-40%, and E for below 35%.
The Class 12 exams were held from March 1 to 22, and Class 10 exams from March 26 to April 8. The results for Class 10 will be out on May 10.
