TNAU AICRP-IFS wins best centre award

Kovai: The All India Coordinated Research Project on Integrated Farming Systems (AICRP-IFS) Main Centre, under the Department of Agronomy at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore, has been awarded the Best Centre Award by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) - Indian Institute of Farming Systems Research (IIFSR), Meerut.
This recognition, presented during the Biennial Workshop at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, highlights TNAU's contributions to sustainable agriculture.
The Centre was praised for its development of a bankable Integrated Farming System (IFS) technology tailored for garden land ecosystems, improving resource efficiency and farmer profitability.
Dr. M.K. Kalarani, Director of Crop Management, Dr. P. Parasuraman, Professor and Head of Agronomy, and the AICRP-IFS team were congratulated by TNAU's Vice Chancellor for their exceptional work.
This award underscores TNAU's leadership in agricultural research and its impact on advancing sustainable farming practices.
