Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) on Tuesday commenced the counselling process for undergraduate admissions to 14 science courses offered across government and private affiliated colleges under its ambit.

A total of 6,921 seats are available for the current academic year, for which 30,333 applications were received. The rank list has already been published.

Online counselling for candidates under the 7.5 percent government school quota and the general category will be conducted from July 10 to 15. Counselling for special reservation categories — including ex-servicemen, persons with disabilities, and sportspersons — will be held in person on July 14.

Certificate verification and admission confirmation will be carried out in four phases. The first phase of certificate verification for the 7.5 percent quota candidates will be held on July 19, while verification for the general category will take place from July 21 to 26.

The second phase of verification will begin on July 29, and the fourth and final phase is scheduled to conclude on August 21. Colleges are set to reopen on September 3. Spot admissions for unfilled seats will be conducted after September 8.

Any changes to the counselling or verification schedule will be announced as required, according to Dr. Venkatesa Palaniswami, Dean (Agriculture) and Admissions Director, TNAU.
