Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Agricultural University unveiled its integrated admission rank list, with the counseeling set to commence on June 22.
Four students achieving a perfect score of 200 out of 200 and securing the top positions.
Geethalakshmi, Vice-Chancellor, TNAU announced that consultations for admissions will commence on the 22nd.
This year, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Dr. J. Jayalalitha Fisheries University, and Annamalai University will jointly conduct the first-year admission process on behalf of the Agricultural University.
The University of Agriculture oversees 18 member colleges and 28 affiliated colleges, offering 14 undergraduate courses.
The admission process aims to place 2,555 students in member colleges, 2,806 in affiliated colleges, 340 at Annamalai University, and 345 at Fisheries University.
Out of 33,973 applicants, 29,969 were shortlisted, including 11,447 male and 18,522 female students.
The rank list includes 10,053 government school students, with 413 seats reserved under the 7.5% quota. Geethalakshmi reiterated that counseling will commence on the 22nd.
A total of 234 candidates are competing for 20 seats reserved under special categories such as ex-servicemen. Additionally, 10,053 candidates are vying for 413 seats under the 7.5% reservation for government school students. In the sports category, 701 candidates are contesting for 20 seats, while 84 candidates seek 126 seats reserved for the disabled category. Moreover, 1,900 candidates are competing for 242 seats under the vocational category quota.
The university has instructed participants in these categories to prepare their relevant documents for the upcoming counseling.
