Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Talent Search Examination (TNCMTSE) for Class X students studying in government schools for the academic year 2025-26 will be held on January 31, 2026, the Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) said.

In a press release, the DGE said the deadline for receiving applications and uploading student details by school headmasters through its official website has been extended to January 10, 2026, in order to benefit more eligible students.

The application window was earlier scheduled from the afternoon of December 26, 2025, to January 8, 2026.

The TNCMTSE aims to identify and encourage meritorious students from government schools across Tamil Nadu.
