Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) on Tuesday announced that the second phase of certificate verification and counselling for candidates who appeared in the Combined Civil Services Examination-I (Group I) will be held on February 24 and 25, 2026.

The commission said the marks and rank list of candidates who appeared for the examination, conducted under Notification No. 07/2025 dated April 25, 2025 and its subsequent addenda, had been published on its website on October 22, 2025.

Following the completion of the first phase of certificate verification and counselling, the second phase will be conducted to fill vacancies in posts including Junior Assistant, Typist and Steno-Typist.

The verification and counselling will be held at the TNPSC office on Thervai Aani Salai, near Broadway Bus Stand and Fort Railway Station, Chennai-600003, it said.

The list of shortlisted candidates has been uploaded on the commission's website, from where call letters containing details of date, time and other instructions can be downloaded.

Candidates will be informed only through SMS and email, and no separate call letters will be sent by post, the commission said.

It underscored that being called for the second phase does not guarantee selection. Candidates who fail to attend the process on the specified date and time will not be given another opportunity.
