Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has selected 7,557 candidates for various posts between January and March 2025.

Additionally, 441 shortfall vacancies for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes have been filled to uphold social justice in direct appointments.

TNPSC has accelerated the recruitment process to ensure timely selection. The Combined Technical Services Examination (Interview Posts) for 109 vacancies across 20 posts was completed within 125 working days, with the selection list published on February 27, 2025.

Similarly, for the Combined Civil Services Examination-IV, the selection process for Junior Assistant, Typist, and Stenographer posts was finalized within 184 working days by March 12, 2025—five months ahead of the previous cycle.

For the post of Assistant Commissioner in the Hindu Religious Endowments Department, the selection process was completed in 161 working days, with results published on March 14, 2025—six months earlier than the previous recruitment.

Faster Results:
Results for the Integrated Civil Services Examination (Volume I) were declared on March 14, 2025, within 57 working days—four months earlier than in 2023. The Combined Civil Services Examination-IB main exam results were published on February 20, 2025, just 48 days after the exam. Additionally, the Combined Technical Services Examination (Non-Interview) results were announced on February 20, 2025, within 77 working days.

Improved Transparency & Efficiency
TNPSC has introduced online receipt of vacancy details from government departments, PSUs, and statutory boards from March 1, 2025. It has also enabled UPI payment for examination fees and launched an official WhatsApp channel to provide real-time updates to candidates.

To support candidates and their parents, a waiting room has been set up at the TNPSC office. The Commission has also allowed parents or relatives to attend verification and counselling on behalf of candidates unable to be present due to unavoidable reasons.

The selection schedule is published on TNPSC's website, and results are consistently released within the specified timeframe. Information regarding selected candidates is shared via X, Telegram, and WhatsApp, said S. Gopala Sundara Raj, Secretary, TNPSC.
