Chennai: The 'Aathikalaikol' training workshop, organised by the Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Development Corporation (TADCO), commenced on Monday at the Nandambakkam Trade Centre.

The three-day programme is aimed at promoting cultural awareness and reviving traditional art forms among Scheduled Caste and Tribal youth. Experts and trainers from across the state will engage with participants through interactive sessions.

The workshop will focus on four key areas — drama, literature, visual arts, and migration-related issues. Training will also highlight indigenous dance forms, satirical music, and folk literature, with the objective of encouraging young people from these communities to rediscover and preserve their cultural heritage.

Over 300 experts from different districts are expected to take part in the event.
