Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has unveiled a golden visa initiative aimed at supporting digital content creators, expanding its efforts to attract global talent.

The golden visa program, previously available to screen celebrities, sports stars, and other high-profile individuals, has now been extended to digital creators. This move aligns with the UAE's goal of fostering innovation and bolstering its presence in the digital world.

Launched on January 13, the program is backed by an allocation of ₹337 crore. The golden visa grants holders the ability to reside in the UAE for up to 10 years without needing employment proof or other conventional documentation. The visa is renewable and offers benefits such as full tax exemptions and access to advanced healthcare facilities.

Eligibility criteria include a minimum age of 25, possession of a valid passport, and demonstrable prior work experience. Applicants must also showcase unique accomplishments in the field of digital content creation.

Digital content creators, defined as individuals who produce and share their own content on platforms like Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and YouTube, are seen as key contributors to the evolving global digital economy.

This initiative underlines the UAE's commitment to positioning itself as a hub for creativity and talent, encouraging innovators from around the world to contribute to its digital landscape.
