VCs of 15 Central Universities raised problems before UGC

New Delhi: 15 Central Universities, vice chancellors of the institutions aroused their problems and issues before the University Grants Commission.
At a round-table meeting at the UGC, the vice chancellors shared their issues and presented plan for starting courses from the coming academic session.
'This was the first meeting of the newly appointed vice chancellors. Since these institutions are new, they are facing problems with respect to campus, facilities and funds. They expressed their problems,'
The vice chancellors have prepared their own annual plan which were also presented. Some of the universities are likely to start courses from the coming academic session, he said.
They also expressed problems relating to availability of funds. HRD Ministry officials assured them that funding would not be a problem.
The UGC officials briefed them about its rules, regulations and guidelines.
