What is cloud?

Airtel pioneers India's first sovereign telco-grade cloud
Airtel strengthened its digital infrastructure and data sovereignty offerings with the launch of Airtel Cloud through Xtelify in August 2025, becoming India's first telecom operator to offer a sovereign, telco-grade cloud platform.

Originally built to support Airtel's digital ecosystem, the platform is designed to handle up to 1.4 billion transactions per minute. Its architecture keeps data, infrastructure and control-plane operations within India, helping enterprises meet data residency, security and compliance requirements.
