Onam 2025 Celebration - A Joyful Reunion by Jeddah Kalarathna Dance Group. Onam has always been a time of togetherness for the Jeddah Kalarathna Dance Group family and their well-wishers. This beautiful tradition continues with the same spirit and joy, year after year. On 26th September 2025, their flagship Onam celebration turned into a delightful reunion, where families gathered with happiness, sharing love, laughter, and festive cheer. The day was filled with vibrant programs, cultural moments, and heartfelt connections that made the celebration truly memorable
The celebrations came alive with a vibrant showcase of talent—searching for new stars, encouraging the little ones to express their creativity, and kindling their vision through art. From cultural performances to the rich performing arts of Kerala, every moment was inspiring and thought-provoking for all who attended.
Building on the overwhelming success of the Jeddah Kalarathna Dance Group over the years, Onam 2025 stood out as a grand celebration—marked by a full-house audience, stellar performances, and enthusiastic participation from the entire community
Mrs. Sreetha Anilkumar, the well-known dance choreographer in Jeddah who has always been a creative visionary to transforms music into movement and stories into rhythm as well as her talent lies not only in mastering diverse dance styles but also in blending technique with imagination to craft performances which can captivate audiences.
She orchestrated the event Onam 2025 successfully, her talented students, dressed in vibrant costumes, lit up the stage with their performances, while men and women came together to serve the traditional and delicious Onam Sadya. In those moments, it felt as though Onam itself had returned in all its glory—the timeless festival of Kerala, alive with laughter, culture, and the warmth of togetherness.
Along with the enchanting songs and graceful dances, the celebrations embraced the traditional 'Onam Sadya'—an exquisite feast that reflected not just the Flavors of Kerala's cuisine, but the richness of its culture and heritage as well.
The team members—
Anilkumar, Thaj Mannarkkad, Razak Mampuram, Neethu Najib Zeenath, Abubacker Reetha Shanil, Aji Abraham, Pournami J Lakshmi, Saagar Razak, Rafi Jubi, Ameer Parappanagadi, Sumayya. Shayja, and others from the Organising Committee worked tirelessly behind the scenes, making extensive preparations that brought the celebration to life. Their efforts not only fulfilled the excitement and expectations of the community and its guests but also added a special touch of warmth and perfection to the event
The function beautifully reflected a broad-minded culture, celebrating mutual respect for social and cultural traditions. Mrs. Sreetha orchestrated a vibrant lineup of fun-filled activities, beginning with the intricate decoration of the Pookalam. One after another, the lively events kept the audience captivated, offering never-before-seen spectacles that delighted the eyes and hearts alike.
In a moment filled with pride and gratitude, the Kalarathna Dance Group bestowed a heartfelt honour upon Mr. Muhamad Mustafa and Mr. Ameer Parappangadi, presenting them with mementos in recognition of their outstanding service to society. Their selfless contributions have touched countless lives, and this tribute stands as a celebration of their dedication, compassion, and lasting impact on the community.
The wholehearted participation and support of community members such as Ashraf Chukkan, Dr. Shibu Thiruvananthapuram, Nasar Mampuram, Vasu, Hassan Kondotty, Mukkani, Ali Arikath, and Basheer Bashi formed the very essence of the program's success. Their contributions, along with the dedication of talented members and students, were celebrated as they were honoured with plaques and recognition by the esteemed guests. When such Guests come together to offer their time, skills, and passion, a cultural program grows beyond being a performance—it blossoms into a meaningful platform that strengthens togetherness and fosters social harmony.
The energy and enthusiasm of the performances were contagious, keeping everyone on their toes—and their cameras ready—throughout, as there was never a dull moment to miss.
