A Singapore student visa, called the Student Pass, is required for full-time studies. The steps and requirements include:
Admission into a recognized Singaporean institution (get the official offer letter).
Registration on the Student's Pass Online Application & Registration (SOLAR) system by the institution; applicant receives login credentials and reference number.
Complete Form 16 and Form V36 on SOLAR+ portal.
Upload required documents: valid passport (minimum six months validity), passport photos, offer letter, academic certificates, proof of finances (bank statements and sponsorship/loan letters), medical examination report (if required), standardized test scores (if required).
Pay processing fee of SGD 30 during online application; issuance fee of SGD 60 on final Student Pass approval.
Wait for In-Principle Approval (IPA) Letter from Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), which is used for entry to Singapore.
Upon arrival, visit the ICA Office for final checks, biometrics, and Student Pass collection.
Eligibility: Students must be admitted to a full-time program, provide proof of funds, have no criminal record, and be physically and mentally fit. There is no strict age limit but the process and requirements can differ below and above age 19.
