The Consulate General of India, Houston, in collaboration with the India Association of San Antonio (IASA), recently organized two significant events in San Antonio, Texas.
Consular Camp: 'Consulate@yourDoorStep' Initiative
On September 20, 2025, a consular camp was held at the IGO Branch Library (13330 Kyle Seale Pkwy, San Antonio, TX 78249-3808) from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The event provided various consular services, including:
- Passport Services: Renewal and verification of Indian passports
- Visa Services: Verification of visa applications
- OCI Services: Conversion of PIO to OCI, renewal, and other OCI-related services
- Consular Attestation: Attestation of documents
- Power of Attorney: Registration and verification of power of attorney documents
- Miscellaneous Services: Other consular services (excluding passport renewal, visa issuance, and OCI issuance on the spot)
Tree Planting Ceremony: 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam'
On September 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. CST, Ms. Malti Gupta, Vice Consul of the Consulate General of India, Houston, participated in a tree planting ceremony at the IASA Community Center. The event honored motherhood and the environment, symbolizing the community's commitment to sustainability and appreciation for maternal love.
