Today's students possess numerous skills but face countless distractions. It is the responsibility of educational institutions to engage students in educational activities that highlight their talents, steering them away from these distractions.
Our Approach: Design Thinking
At SNS, which has proudly entered its 26th year, we've embraced 'Design Thinking' over the past few years. Our goal is to transform classrooms into hubs of engaging learning and problem-solving, rather than mundane environments. Society faces diverse problems across various sectors, and 'Design Thinking' encourages tackling these issues head-on.
Historically, education has focused on developing employability skills. It's time to evolve beyond this and cultivate education that enhances problem-solving abilities. This doesn't necessitate a complete overhaul of the current system; gradual changes can significantly improve education within the next decade.
Use technology prudently:
Students need not follow the conventional paths most opt for. Each student can pursue fields aligned with their interests and abilities, addressing known societal issues. Modern technology can play a pivotal role in these sectors. Not everyone needs to choose technical courses.
For instance, if civil engineering is your passion, consider how technology can aid in earthquake detection. Likewise, in fields such as nursing or commerce, students should explore how technologies like AI can address industry-specific challenges. Technology enables us to reach a broader audience. Major companies like Ola, Uber, and Swiggy exemplify the indispensability of technology.
Students are our greatest asset. Growth should be the primary goal, not merely wealth accumulation. With a mindset geared towards growth and dedicated efforts, wealth will naturally follow.
