Admissions are open for various programmes at the Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI), an institution established by the Central Government specifically to offer courses in footwear design and related fields.
FDDI, which operates across multiple cities in India, has been recognized as an Institution of National Importance.
Campuses: Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Noida, Rae Bareli (U.P.), Rohtak (Haryana), Jodhpur, Chhindwara (M.P.), Guna (M.P.), Surat, Patna.

Undergraduate Programmes:
B.Des. - Footwear Design and Production (4 years)
B.Des. - Leather, Lifestyle and Product Design (4 years)
B.Des. - Fashion Design (4 years)
BBA - Retail and Fashion Merchandise (4 years)
Postgraduate Programmes:
M.Des. - Footwear Design and Production (2 years)
M.Des. - Fashion Design (2 years)
MBA - Retail and Fashion Merchandise (2 years)
Eligibility Criteria:
For B.Des. programmes, candidates must have passed Class 12. Those with a three-year diploma are also eligible to apply. Applicants should be below 25 years of age as on July 1, 2026.
For M.Des. programmes, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline. For M.Des. in Footwear Design and Production, candidates should have studied at least two relevant subjects during their undergraduate programme.
Admission Process:
Admissions are based on performance in the AIST (All India Selection Test) conducted by the institute, followed by counselling.
