The Chartered Accountancy (CA) course cannot be completed through casual preparation or last-minute study. Though it is regarded as one of the most demanding professional courses, success is certainly attainable through discipline, commitment, and sustained effort.
How can students succeed in the examination?

• Students should dedicate at least 12 hours a day to focused and systematic study.
• Coaching and guidance can be obtained either through the training programmes offered by the ICAI or from reputed private coaching institutes.
• A strong memory plays an important role in mastering the CA syllabus. At the same time, the rigorous nature of the course itself helps improve memory and analytical abilities.
• Candidates must thoroughly study the official study materials and publications prescribed by the ICAI, as examination questions are primarily based on these resources.

A Qualification with Prestige
Three decades ago, only around 2 per cent of candidates cleared the CA examination. Today, the average pass percentage has increased to nearly 10 per cent and, in some sessions, has even touched 15 per cent. Earning the CA qualification not only enhances social standing but also opens the door to rewarding and respected career opportunities.

No Chartered Accountant Remains Unemployed
According to experts, unemployment is virtually unheard of among Chartered Accountants, as they have abundant opportunities in both employment and independent practice. In a recent campus recruitment drive, about 9,000 Chartered Accountants participated, while nearly 12,000 job vacancies were available. This highlights the strong demand for qualified CAs in the job market, says Rajendra Kumar, Central Council Member of the ICAI.
