Chennai: Despite efforts to accommodate all candidates, 25% of NEET-PG candidates from Tamil Nadu were still not allotted examination centers within the state.

These candidates have been assigned centers in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Kerala, at distances ranging from 750 km to 1,000 km, leading to significant opposition from various groups.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences initially assigned out-of-state centers for many candidates, which included over 25,000 applicants from Tamil Nadu.

However, following a meeting between Dindigul MP Sachithanandam and Union Health Minister JP Nadda, the board reallocated exam centers within Tamil Nadu for more than 75% of the candidates.

This adjustment was communicated to the candidates via email. Nonetheless, the situation remains a concern for those still required to travel long distances.
