Chennai: A major scandal has emerged involving professors who fraudulently secured positions at engineering colleges affiliated with Anna University.

A three-member committee's report has brought to light that the University Syndicate has approved stringent measures.

Legal action will be taken against 295 colleges accused of malpractice.

Additionally, 900 professors implicated in the scandal will face a lifetime ban from employment in these institutions, and criminal charges will be pursued.
