Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Governor's House has announced that applications are now open for the Governor's Awards 2024 in the Community Service and Environment categories.

Individuals and organizations are encouraged to apply by August 9.

These awards honor those who have made significant contributions to social well-being and environmental protection.

Four outstanding candidates will be selected in each category.

Winners in the Oraganisation category will receive a cash award of Rs 5 lakh, while individual awardees will receive Rs 2 lakh, along with a special recognition from the Governor on Republic Day.

To apply, complete the application form available on the Governor's House website and email it to awardsrajbhavantamilnadugmail.com by 5:00 PM on August 9.

A copy of the application, along with supporting documents, should also be sent to the Deputy Secretary and Accountant to the Governor at the following address: Governor's Secretariat, Governor's House, Guindy, Chennai - 22.
