Kolkata: The era of multidisciplinary education demands lifelong learning, particularly for students in science and technology fields, stated Amitava Ghosh, Honorary Scientist at the Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology.

Addressing graduates at the convocation ceremony of Jadavpur University, Ghosh remarked, "The knowledge gained during college years will not suffice in the future. Continuous learning and multi-tasking skills will be essential throughout one's career."

He highlighted the transformative impact of artificial intelligence, noting its influence on healthcare, legal practice, education, research and development, planning, civic administration, and management.

Ghosh urged the young graduates to remain observant and adaptive to advancements in these fields, emphasizing that staying relevant in the workforce requires ongoing skill development.
