Namakkal: Namakkal District Collector Uma has announced an extension for unauthorized educational institutions to obtain the necessary permissions for their buildings.

In a statement, the Collector highlighted that institutions constructed and operating before January 1, 2011, in unplanned areas of Namakkal district now have an additional six months to regularize their status.

This extension, granted by the Tamil Nadu government's Housing and Urban Development Department, extends the deadline until January 31, 2025.

The Collector emphasized that educational institutions located in hilly areas must follow all procedures outlined in the relevant government order when applying for regularization.

The statement urged institutions to take advantage of this final opportunity to avoid potential legal issues.
