Coimbatore: Dinamalar newspaper, in collaboration with the Indian Water Works Association, AIM NGO, and Thirukkural Research Institute, invites school students to participate in a district-level speech competition.

The competition, open to both government and private school students, allows up to six participants per school. Adjustments to the schedule have been made to accommodate students' exams.

The event is set to take place on January 4th at 9:30 AM.

Participants will deliver a three-minute speech in Tamil on one of the following topics:

My Modern Thoughts on Water and Environment Protection
Our Role in Water and Environment Management

The competitions will be conducted at multiple venues, including:
Kuniyamuthar Sri Krishna Engineering College of Technology
Echanari Rathinam College
Peelamedu PSGR Krishnammal College for Women
Pollachi BA Arts and Science College
Awards and Prizes:

For students from Classes VIII to X:
First Prize: ₹7,000
Second Prize: ₹5,000
Third Prize: ₹3,000

For students from Plus 1 and Plus 2:
First Prize: ₹10,000
Second Prize: ₹7,500
Third Prize: ₹5,000

All participants will receive certificates of participation. The prize distribution ceremony will take place on February 1st at Sri Krishna Engineering College, Kuniyamuthuar.
